Performance, Range and Charging Time

A rear-mounted electric motor is powered by a 58-kWh battery pack for the 2024 Kia EV6 Light trim, producing 167 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The other trims get larger 77.4-kWh batteries that offer variable range and power depending on the amount and strength of the motors. 225 horsepower comes from the single-motor rear-wheel-drive Light Long Range, Wind, and GT-Line trims, while the dual-motor AWD versions get you up to 320 horsepower, 446 lb-ft of torque, and a memorable 0-60 mph time of 4.6 seconds. For the most power, the 2024 Kia EV6 GT comes equipped with two motors and AWD, pumping out an impressive 546 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque that gets it from 0-60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. When it comes to fuel efficiency, the Wind and GT-Line models are rated for 117 MPGe with RWD and AWD comes in at 109 MPGe. The high-performance EV6 GT model is rated for 79 MPGe. Range estimates also depend on trim selection: RWD Light Long Range, Wind, and GT-Line models can reach 310 miles, the AWD Light and Wind can go 282 miles, the AWD GT-Line comes in at 252, and the EV6 GT lasts for 218 miles. Charging versatility is at your fingertips as the EV6 works with both 400v and 800v DC fast chargers. You can go from a 10% to 80% state in just 18 minutes with the 800v DC fast charger. When hooked up to a Level 2 at-home charger, the 11-kW onboard charger is expected to charge a battery from 10% to 100% in about 7 hours.

Interior Highlights

To match its daring exterior design, the 2024 Kia EV6 offers a futuristic and attractive interior, which mixes high-tech features with a practical floating center console and noticeable design touches like the two-spoke steering wheel and thoughtfully placed gold accents. Passenger seat is ample with a flat floor layout, and cargo space comes in at 28 cubic feet behind the back seat, growing to 54 cubic feet with the rear seat backs folded down. The infotainment system is impressive at 12.3-inches, can receive over-the-air updates, respond to voice commands, and offers popular amenities like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a Wi-Fi hotspot. We love the padded and bolstered front bucket seats, which also fully recline and come heated. Neon yellow accents on the seats and dashboard are a fun addition to the GT model, while the GT-Line’s faux leather seats embellished with optional suede edging suggest they came right out of a luxury vehicle.
